Time Allocation

  • Foundation Stage reading – 10 minutes daily.
  • KS1 reading 10 – minutes daily.
  • KS2 reading – 15 minutes daily.

Literacy and Numeracy tasks should not take more than 30 mins.

Creative tasks are open ended to allow pupils the decision as to how long they spend completing their homework.

The table below shows expected homework. Teachers may on occasion, send extra homework if they feel it would be beneficial.

Year 1

Year 2

  • One creative, open ended activity once a month to replace mathematics or grammar activity.
Year 3

  • One creative, open ended activity once a month to replace mathematics or grammar activity.
Year 4

Year 5
